Uses: Trichlorofluoromethane is used as a refrigerant, as a heat transfer medium, as a solvent, as a propellant in insecticidal aerosols and as a chemical intermediate.

Abundance: More so than R-113 and is expected to maintain a relative good supply into the year 2005, while older chiller units become replaced with more ozone friendly products, the old material will be reclaimed and recycled for other medical and research applications.
